Housel Bay is a secluded beach located on the southern tip of the Lizard Peninsula, near Helston, Cornwall. This small, sandy cove is bordered by steep cliffs and accessed via a footpath and steep steps, creating an unspoilt and tranquil atmosphere ideal for visitors seeking peace and natural beauty.
The beach is exposed at low tide, revealing golden sands interspersed with rocky outcrops. It is sheltered from the prevailing winds but swimming is hazardous due to strong currents and a lack of lifeguard cover. The surrounding cliffs and coastal location also make the area popular for coastal walks and wildlife spotting.
Facilities are very limited, with only basic toilets available nearby and no cafés or shops directly at the beach. There is no dedicated beach parking, so access involves a walk from car parks in the village of Lizard.
