East Looe Beach is located directly in front of Looe’s bustling town, offering a sandy shoreline ideal for families and swimmers. The beach is sheltered by Banjo Pier to the west, creating generally calm bathing conditions. Its proximity to the historic town centre gives visitors easy access to various amenities, including cafés, beach shops, and promenade seating.
The level approach from Looe makes it a convenient option for most visitors, including those with limited mobility. Popular with families due to its accessible, flat sands and lifeguard presence in summer, the area around the beach is lively yet well contained. The River Looe flows nearby, with the distinctively shaped Banjo Pier marking one end of the beach.
While the beach can get busy during peak tourist months, it remains a central feature of Looe and is well known for offering traditional seaside activities. There are no Blue Flag or Seaside Awards confirmed for this beach as of now.
