Great Molunan & Little Molunan are two small, sheltered sandy coves located beneath St Anthony Head at the entrance to the Carrick Roads, near the south-eastern tip of the Roseland Peninsula. Surrounded by rocks and cliffs, the beaches offer a secluded and unspoiled spot, ideal for those seeking a quieter experience away from busier tourist destinations.
Both beaches are famed for their clear waters and tranquil setting, backed by scenic countryside and with sweeping views across the Fal Estuary towards St Mawes. The setting makes them popular for swimming and picnics at low tide, while the surrounding headland provides excellent walking opportunities.
Access is only by foot along the South West Coast Path from St Anthony Head or by boat, making the beaches relatively quiet even in summer. Facilities are minimal, so visitors should come prepared and note that tides can cover the entire beach at high water.
