Rock Beach sits on the eastern side of the Camel Estuary opposite Padstow and stretches north towards Daymer Bay. Known for its wide sandy area at low tide, the beach is backed by dunes and offers extensive views across the estuary, making it popular with families and walkers.
The village of Rock is well-served by cafés and shops, with easy access to the beach from the main road. The Camel Estuary’s sheltered waters make the beach particularly popular for sailing, windsurfing, and paddleboarding, and it is a well-known starting point for ferry trips to Padstow.
While the main stretch is sandy and open, quieter spots toward the north are bordered by dune systems. **Dogs are allowed year-round**, making it a popular choice for dog walkers. The beach is also notable for its proximity to St Enodoc Church and golf course, both visible from the shoreline.
There are no lifeguards stationed at Rock Beach, and swimming should be approached with care due to tidal currents in the estuary.
